Definition
An exchange-traded fund that invests in real estate investment trusts. An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is like a mutual fund, but it is traded throughout the day like a stock. An REIT is a security that invests in real estate, either through properties or mortgages. An REIT ETF gives investors an opportunity to invest in the real estate market without being limited to specific properties.
