Disparity Index

Definition
An indicator which measures the percentage position of an asset's current closing price relative to its moving average. A positive percentage shows that the asset's price is increasing while a negative percentage shows that its price is decreasing. Investors use the disparity index to gauge whether an asset is oversold or overbought and hence, be subject to sudden price reversals.
