Various types of different tax credits that may apply to taxpayers in a variety of instances that are designed to either promote and/or reward specific activities that help the economy. Some of these activities may include the purchase of a hybrid auto or the installation of more energy efficient appliances in the taxpayer's home. The majority of these types of tax credits are non-refundable.
