Enacted to ensure that the United States can be allowed to sanction the prosecution of employees and employers who have engaged in fraudulent activity and, at the same time, allow individual employees who have been discriminated or terminated by their employers after they reported their fraudulent activities to file a lawsuit against them in federal court.
