Permanent Capital Vehicle (PCV)

Definition
An investment fund focused on long term capital growth with the intention of providing a perpetual source of income for a specific future purpose. The original investment is generally not returned to the investor, thereby providing a permanent capital source to produce on-going income. Examples of PCVs include endowments for universities or other non-profits as well as pension and scholarship funds.
