Optimized Portfolio As Listed Securities (OPALS)

Definition
A type of securities portfolio that is similar to an exchange traded fund (ETF), used in tracking an index without the need to actually buy all of the securities that are traded in that particular index. These are typically minimum investment requirements associated with these portfolios and they are usually purchased only by large institutional investors.
