Interest-sensitive Life Insurance

Definition
Cash value life insurance in which the rate credited by the insurer is adjusted periodically to reflect the current performance of its investment portfolio which is influenced by the prevailing interest rate environment. As the yield on the insurer's investment portfolio increases, the credited cash value rate can also increase.
