Cult Stock

Definition
Stock classification for stocks having a large following of investors, where the stock generally doesn't generate much revenue at all. They are for companies with a great idea to solve a problem or create a product, but most don't have income coming in and end up using their initial funds in research and development. Occasionally, a cult stock will become successful when the product or solution is released, and the investors receive high returns.
