Bar Chart
Definition
A graph used by technicians to analyze stock performance and make assumptions about future price behavior. It is comprised of a series of vertical lines called bars. The top and bottom of the bar represent the high and low for the periodicity selected. A tick on the left side of a bar indicates the open price and a tick on the right of the bar indicates the close. A bar chart uses time as the X-axis and price as the y-axis. Compare to Candlestick Chart; Point and Figure Chart.
