Closed-end Management Company

Definition
Investment company that sells units to its investors but does not provide them the option of liquidating the units by selling them back to the company. Instead, the investors must find buyers for the shares in the units and sell them at the market rate. Closed-end mutual funds are typical examples of this type of investment companies.
