Definition
Amendment added to the Securities and Exchange Act that made it illegal for U.S. companies or U.S. citizens to bribe public officials from foreign countries. This act covers a wide range of bribes including, but not limited to promises to pay, authorized payments, or transfers of anything considered to have value.
