Margin Closeout

Definition
A situation where the exchange closes all your open positions. This occurs when your net asset value falls to the predetermined margin call value, and the exchange stops your trading automatically to prevent further losses. This is like defaulting on your loan, and the bank seizes your collateral. Commonly found in forex trading.
