Equity-linked Policy

Definition
A type of variable life insurance policy where a portion of the premium is invested in stocks. If the stocks are performing well, the cash surrender value increases and conversely, if the stock performance is poor, the value decreases. However, the amount of decrease will not exceed the specified benefit floor.
