Alaska Trust Act

Definition
Legislation in Alaska which acts as a defense against creditors for irrevocable trusts, provided that the trust has a grantor whom can act as a discretionary beneficiary. The records of the trust must be located in Alaska, at least one of the trustee must be a resident of Alaska, and a pre-defined percentage of the trust assets must be on deposit in an account in a recognized financial institution.
