Interest Rate Parity Theorem

Definition
A theory grounded in the uniformity that exists between the currency rates of two different countries in which the difference is equal to the difference between the forward rate and the spot rate of the two currencies. When a disparity occurs, that is when they are no longer uniform, an opportunity for arbitrage exists.
