Definition
A law authorizing savings and loan institutions to offer money market deposit accounts with no interest rate ceiling, give commercial loans and authority for federal regulatory agencies to approve interstate acquisitions of failed banks and savings institutions. This is formally known as Garn-St. Germain Depository Institutions Act.
