Asset Swapped Convertible Option Transaction

Definition
ASCOT. The option to split a convertible bond into two separate parts, a bond and an option. Doing this creates two parts, one which is relatively stable (the bond) and one which is relatively volatile (the option). ASCOTs are often used to increase the leverage of one's portfolio.
