Coinsurance Amount Limit

Definition
The maximum amount of out-of-pocket expenses an insured person is required to pay in a year before the insurance plan covers 100% of the expenses. Each insurance plan designates which types of fees and expenses are counted toward the limit, but they generally include co-payments and deductibles paid by the insured.
