Conversion Cost

Definition
Any cost incurred from converting securities, currencies, commodities, or other assets into other forms. Conversion costs may include both direct costs such as broker's fees and taxes, and indirect costs such as value lost from the conversion, as might occur when converting stocks to currency after a downward movement in the stock price.
