Definition
A mathematical tool developed by James Sibbet and used by technical analysts as a leading indicator of price changes in a stock. The demand index combines price and volume using a complicated system that involves 21 columns of data. In simple terms, the demand index provides a ratio of buying pressure to selling pressure.
