Ba3/BB-
Definition
A relatively low investment rating assigned to a security. Rating agencies base their ratings on a firm's creditworthiness. In other words, a rating is a measure of the likelihood of default. A security with a Ba3/BB- rating is considered below investment grade. The Ba3 designation is used by Moody's. The BB- designation is used by Fitch and Standard & Poor's.
