B3/B-

Definition
One of the lowest investment ratings assigned to a security. Rating agencies base their ratings on a firm's creditworthiness. In other words, a rating is a measure of the likelihood of default. A security with a B3/B- rating is considered speculative. The B3 designation is used by Moody's. The B- designation is used by Fitch and Standard & Poor's.
