Liquidity Fund

Definition
The aspect of the financial markets that handle lending and borrowing for debts with maturities of one year or less. Also called money markets, liquidity funds are managed by financial institutions, and are generally used for borrowing and lending between banks. Short term inter-bank lending arrangements are typically referred to as "paper".
