Return On Average Equity (ROAE)

Definition
A measure of the profitability of a company and refers to the company's overall performance during a fiscal year. The ROAE can provide a more accurate picture of the profitability of a company as it uses the shareholder's average equity as the denominator than the return on equity (ROE) version.
