S&P/Citigroup Global Equity Indices

Definition
Market index that only includes companies that have a market capitalization of $100M or above. This index was created after Standard and Poor's made an agreement with Citigroup to acquire Smith Barney's global benchmark index business (formerly known as the SSB Global Equity Index System). The S&P;/Citigroup indices cover more than 7,500 companies in 52 markets around the world on a free float-adjusted index.
