Definition
Reinstatement of a stock on an exchange after it has been removed for not being in compliance with listing requirements. A company's stock may be delisted for a variety of reasons, such as bankruptcy or a share price that has fallen below minimum requirements. When a company returns to fiscal health, it may apply to have its shares relisted.
