Periodic Payment Plan Certificate

Definition
An investment contract which obliges the holder to make a series of periodic payments, which are used by a trustee to buy securities. These investment options are heavily regulated now by the SEC with a limit on sales commission and all other charges. The certificates are also redeemable with rules governing what the issuer has to pay.
