Definition
For a bank, an expense not associated with attracting and keeping depositor's funds. The non-interest expenses include almost all operating and overhead expenses such as salaries and employee benefits, unemployment tax, insurance, operation and maintenance of facilities, equipment, furniture, and vehicles.
