Out Of Line

Definition
Stocks that are above or below the line for similar stocks. Investors gather this information by looking at the stock's price-earnings ratio and comparing it to the price-earnings ratio of other similar stocks. If there is a significant difference between a stock's price-earnings ratio and other price-earnings ratios, the stock would be considered out of line.
