Net Income After Taxes (NIAT)

Definition
A company's bottom line for a specific period of accounting. This figure will show the earnings of that company after all of the expenses have been paid as well as any depreciation, taxes, and/or charge offs. Often this figure is represented both as a per share calculation as well as a dollar amount.
