Definition
1. Options trading: A notice from an options clearing house received by an option's writer stating that the current option has been exercised and the writer must produce shares of the underlying security to complete the contract. 2. IPO: A notice from a brokerage, informing a client of the status of the client's requested allocation of IPO shares - whether the order has been filled in full, if a fraction has been filled, or if no shares are available.
