Listed Company

Definition
A corporation whose stock trades on one of the seven U.S. stock exchanges. Each exchange establishes its own listing criteria, which may include financial standards requirements and a minimum number of shares traded. A company can be listed on more than one exchange, a practice referred to as dual listing.
