Definition
The shares of stock in the portfolios of owners, executives, and managers at a company. Investors sometimes use activity in insider holdings to gauge confidence by those knowledgeable about future growth and earnings potential for their company. Sometimes, insider holdings are evaluated in concert with the amount and activity of institutional holdings.
