Grandfathered Bond

Definition
European class of bonds that does not include payments made on those bonds from retention taxes. These bonds must have been issued prior to March 1, 2001, or it must have had its prospectus certified prior to that date. In addition, the bond cannot have had any issues at any time since February 28, 2002.
