Definition
A tax deduction that helps Canadian parents spend a year at home after the birth of a child. This income replacement plan supports all parents, including those who are adopting a child. Quebec has a similar plan called the Quebec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) which pays up to 75% of weekly income.
